Title: Recording is splitting up (Iriver H-120)
Post by: Antihero on March 04, 2011, 03:44:50 PM
Hey there!

I hope somebody might know whats going on, that would be great!

I do have an Iriver H-120, some of my recording settings are:

- WavPack
- 44.1 KHz
- Source: Line In (External Mic)
- Channels: Stereo
- Split Measure -> Time
- Split Time -> off
- Split Filesize -> off

This is what happens: When I do record a concert I usually get about 50 files because the recording gets splitted. Full songs rarely get splitted up, its mainly the parts between the songs, you know, when its basically silent, when the singers speech is and all that.

Because of this mess I guess all in all about a minute of my recording gets lost, which is pretty annoying, as I have to synchronize every single song with my video recording.

I would really appreciate all advices!

Thanks,

Nikolas

You have trigger turned on.  When the level falls below the stop level for a time longer than that specified by presplit gap, then the recording will stop.  When the level rises above the level specified by start level then it will start.

See http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-iriverh100/rockbox-buildch10.html#x13-16000010.11 and turn trigger off.
