Title: not enough memory for gameboy???

I am using sansa fuze V2;
current build 1.6 GB of free internal memory;
using default theme.
yet when I try to play pokemon yellow
it says "not enough memory"
and "plugin returned error"

Memory refers to RAM, not flash.

Turn off dircache if your player has it, set the maximum files in folder setting to the lowest option, lower the anti skip buffer as much as possible (assuming this option even exists on your player), turn off the database, and reboot the player. If it still doesn't work then your player just has too little RAM total.

I'd imagine the Fuze probably has enough RAM for GBC emulation; I've played several GBC games on my Clip+ which is internally very similar.

Different ROMs also require different amounts.

I get this too. You cannot play music and play certain games. Pokemon being one of the games. Just stop the music and it will run. I've tried turning off directory cache/loading database to ram among other things. It just won't let you listen to music and play at the same time.
