Hello I need help and fast after installing rockbox my my sansa e280 4 GB I can not use my player.All I get is a blank screen and my computer can not recognize the player how do I go back to the original software on my sansa?

You did see the big red warning at the top of the current build page (http://build.rockbox.org/), right? Current builds are broken for the time.
Turn off your Sansa, hold down |<<, and turn it on again and connect it to your PC. Then download and extract this daily build (http://download.rockbox.org/daily/sansae200/rockbox-sansae200.zip) (made from a slightly older revision) to your Sansa. This build should work properly.

nothing is happening it will not shutdown or do anything else.

Press and hold the Power button until it powers off (up to 30 seconds).
If this still doesn't work, then open the back of the Sansa and remove the battery, then reinsert it.

OK sansa restarted all i get is a blank screen.

Do you mean take battery out and put it back in? Sorry doing that now. Still get a blank screen.

No, I mean holding the |<< key and then turning your Sansa on. This lets the Sansa boot into the original firmware.

Back to sansa software and is working thank you for helping me. What went wrong with installing rockbox like to really try it? Going to try your suggestion above about installing rockbox daily builds once again thank you.
