Very nice theme, clearly licensed, only thing I ask is that we open a discussion on where you put all those so-nice-explicitly-making-text-files-for-every-aspect text files in the .zip package.
-
Thanks soap!
About the text files thing you say, sorry if I don't understand your advice, (I'm not english):
Is there something I have to change in my package? Is there some new rules about the packaging?
I'll fix whatever if so! :D
-
I wasn't trying to tell you to do anything.
I just wanted to discuss your placement of those text files.
It seems to me that if everyone placed similar text files in the root directory like you did that quickly a user's root directory would become a cluttered mess.
-
I agree with you.
What directory should be used?
'themes/' maybe?
-
Nice theme. :)
It looks like the wrong font is listed in the DriveBox-FONTS.txt, by the way.
One thing I was thinking is that placing the text files in /.rockbox/wps/DriveBox/ would keep things a bit more tightly confined and therefore easier to remove. It buries the license stuff a bit deeper, but you could always mention their location in the comment block of the theme file. On the other hand, it seems more logical to keep them in the /.rockbox/themes/ folder because they don't only pertain to DriveBox.wps.
-
Fixed!
· Fixed font reference in file.
· A reference of the license files location is placed in the wps header.
· Verbose comments even more.

Nice theme indeed! i didn't know the volume display could be used to display an extra image for 0dB, very nice. As you only use 11 viewports, would you mind considering to use conditional viewports to display the info on the whole screen when no AA is present?

Superb theme, thanks very much. Is it possible to show play count in there, when on-hold maybe? I've seen it on other themes.
-
Thanks for the feedback!
I will make all this suggestions soon.
BTW, I've set up a Mercurial Repository hosted in BitBucket.org (http://bitbucket.org/countach/drivebox-rockbox-theme/). It's very cool to have it there, as all docs and sources al available in a proper way.
-
What is the persistence of bitbucket files?
-
As far as I know, there is no limit, as bitbucket is not a rapidshare-alike thing, but a very geneorus (sic) hosting to programming projects managed with Mercurial.
Mercurial is a SVN, GIT, CVS... alternative. It works pretty well and I am using it to some php projects, too.
Firefox itsefs is managed using Mercurial, (but not hosted in bitbucket).
So, I think the only risk of that account being terminated would be the shutdown of the site.
PD: There is a Windows shell extension to manage HG repositories (HG = Mercurial). It is TortoiseHG and it's hosted in bitbucket, too.

Hi. I hope you don't mind, but I was going to modify and use some of your graphics in a theme I'm working on (mostly the volume and battery images). I was curious though, I want to match a few new images to those images and I wonder how you went about adding the LCD's vertical lines to the graphics. Is it just a pattern overlay in Photoshop?
Thanks.
-
Of course I don't mind.
Here you have all PSD files used in the theme:

See how its the pattern done by yourself. :)
