I tried using the bootloader and pressing u enter instead of i enter but it still says proceed to step 2 on my mp3 screen. The rockbox installation manuel for the e200r doesn't include uninstalling so i already checked there and nobody else in this section of the forum seems to having similar issues
-
If you perform a normal firmware upgrade with the original Sandisk firmware, then that will overwrite the Rockbox bootloader and effectively uninstall Rockbox.
After you've done that, you can then remove the .rockbox folder from the main partition on your Sansa.
-
oops...
how do i uninstall rockbox if i erased the .rockbox folder before i installed the original sandisk firmware
-
Enter recovery mode and drag the OF mi4 to the recovery disk.
-
I did the same thing, but my computer won't recognize the Sansa, so I can't even get into recovery mode. !
-
if your computer doesn't find the sansa while it is in recovery mode, then something is seriously broken that isn't related to rockbox since the recovery mode and its USB mode are all sandisk code.
-
Wonderful...it was all working before I deleted the OF.mi4, though. Any suggestions as to what to do/who to call?
-
Have you tried using e200tool to recover it from manufacturing mode?
-
deleting the mi4 doesn't break the recovery mode
-
I know, but it might be a hardware problem with the Sansa.
-
For all we know, lapair may never even have entered recovery mode. He just avoids all questions regarding that.
-
I did, in fact, enter recovery mode. It's still not working, and gives me "Cannot find file" when I try to connect it to the computer.
-
Sorry, but that description is just too vague for me to understand it.
-
What is the exact message, and is it the computer giving the message or the device? If it's the device, include everything on the screen.
