Title: Stuck on boot loader - 6G Ipod Classic install with iflash SD card mod
Post by: zeframecochrane on March 24, 2020, 03:01:13 PM
Hello,

I ran through the RockBox prompts in the installer and got almost all the way to the end (99%). The Ipod will not change from the boot screen that says:

"Rockbox boot loader
Virsion 1.0
Battery stutus: 0k 4140 mV
Loading Rockbox...
Error:
Can't find rockbox.ipod
File not found

Entering USB mode...
Bootloader USB mode"

I'm a little new at this. my PC is now reading two drives when plugging in the iPod one that says it has 200mb and the other has none. It was reading 1tb of storage before the install in a single drive. I've tried holding down the menu and select buttons to reset it a couple of times and each time i get the same message. Any ideas?

You need to have a .rockbox folder on your device. Download and unpack the build for your device here: http://build.rockbox.org/

Thank you for your help. I was able to get Rockbox going with your assistance. I have a new issue. One of my sd cards has a bad sector. I'll have to replace the bad one, and start again. I appreciate your help.
