I am using a 20GB iAudio X5 with the custom build rockbox-20070622 from rockbox.webhop.org. The player itself functions perfectly with rockbox, but recently I cannot connect the device to my computer. Each time I plug it into a USB port directly connected to the motherboard the computer freezes, and when I connect the X5 via a USB hub port, I receive a power surge warning and the computer freezes. This is extremely frustrating, obviously, since I can't do anything to uninstall rockbox. Any ideas? Please let me know if you need more info about my specs.

Custom builds are unsupported. Â Please retry with a current official build.

I would advise you to seek help from the maintainer of that build.
