Title: no partition found on iPod 5G (video)
Post by: ipodvideo2020 on May 24, 2020, 10:43:30 AM
Hi folks,
I tried to install rockbox on my IPod 5G by RockboxUtility and it says 'no partition found. insert usb cable and fix it' after reboot. There is no error reported during installation and I can boot it into apple firmware.
RockboxUtility version is v1.4.1, rockbox version is  v3.15 and my windows version is window10 pro for workstation 1909. the iPod disk format is FAT32. I have restored iPod on my PC before installation
There is unlikely any problems on my installation environment and usb cable, because I installed rockbox on another iPod Classic 160G (A1238, stock version) and it works at the same time.
I guess it's cause by some driver issue? My iPod model is a1136. I've replaced its broken 30Gigs HDD to an 64 Gigs ngff ssd by an ngff to ce/zif adapter card. But seems it works well with apple firmware 1.3.
I am not a native speaker of english, if there are some words confusing, just tell me. I'll try to explain it.
