Hi
I am new to this forum, and to Rockbox. I recently found out the hard way that you can't install Rockbox on an iPod 7g that has had its hard drive replaced with an Iflash quad.
I have looked through the forums and have found no update to this issue. I have 2 questions. Is this problem still the same, and is there any likelihood that there will be any updates to Rockbox in the future that will have a workaround to this issue?
Many thanks.

You can install rockbox on a iFlash ipod - I have over a dozen of such.
They do have glitches, because, as has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum, the rockbox ata driver isn't entirely compatible with such sold-state mods. But it's generally not that hard to work round those glitches (sync using OF mode, being the main workaround).

What build are you running? They should work a lot better as of a few months ago, so if you're running 3.15 update to the current build.
