Title: Developing a program that can access
Post by: irg on July 26, 2018, 05:32:41 PM
Hi, I'm new here, but I'm a long-standing rockbox user!

I'd like to make a a program that can access and listen in on the FM signal for particular sounds, as a means to receive data on my MP3 Player. I was wondering whether there was an integrated API for accessing the FM signal and observing sound?

Thanks in advance, any help or advice is much appreciated.

You can access PCM data recorded from the FM radio, assuming your player has a radio.  I don't remember if that is exposed to plugins, but it certainly could be if it isn't already.  Might be worth looking at the existing plugins like the pitch detector to see how PCM processing works.
