Title: WinFF - How to convert theatrical 2.21:1 to 4:3 retaining video aspect ratio
Post by: r00tb33r on December 28, 2008, 04:21:58 AM
All my movies are 2.21:1 and not 4:3 or 16:9.  I can't figure out how to convert them so the MPEG player on Rockbox would play it at the original aspect ratio(I want black rectangles above and below).  I use WinFF.
If you go from superwide to supersquare you get a very oddly proportioned picture.  I'm sure other people wonder about this as well.
My player is a Gigabeat F10 (CF mod) with 320x240 screen.
Thanks in advance!

Just select one of the rockbox presets as usual, but in the expandable "Additional Options" area, set the size to 320x144.
