I put an IFlash with a 256g SD card in it.
I’ve tried about twenty times and can’t t get Rockbox to load onto it. Once it was able to finish the process and software displayed on iPod and appeared on Windows file, but it had some connection issue and just gave up, so I know it works. Since then I’ve restored the iPod in iTunes, formatted the partition in the as card, but every time I go through the process of adding RockBox an error message pops up in the list and says it has trouble remounting. When I try to do it manually it it’s not recognized by RockBox software and says mountpoint can’t be located. In Device Manager it recognizes both the iPod and SD disk and says there’s no problems. Any clue what I can do? I also tried a version of RockBox someone said was specific for iPod 6 Classic, but I had the same issue.
Otherwise, iTunes only recognizes the 128g, but after importing 3-4 albums iTunes freezes.

when you get that problem you just go into disk mode to finish the install (center+menu) then (center+pause)

So which version of rockbox utility are you using? Only 1.4.1 can work with the ipod classic, I believe.
