Title: Why has the playback become almost broken suddenly?
Post by: vexecuter on November 06, 2007, 05:00:29 PM
I have noticed in recent builds, as with many people, that there have been loads of buffering and playback problems; mp3s, flacs, etc. I considered rockbox to be very stable in this respect (I use an F40) but suddenly, I find I can't rely on the most recent builds that much for playback! It has been a problem now for nearly a week, and just out of curiosity and not being ignorant, if it isn't broken, don't fix it, so why play with the buffering options recently?

:-)

Because it was broken, in a way that wasn't visible to the users, but greatly restricted the possibility of Rockbox to expand.

You're using a testing version, so you should expect things to break from time to time. If you don't want to risk breakages, don't update to try new features but rather stick with a version that works for you.
