Title: Archos 5 IMT
Post by: bipton on June 10, 2010, 08:29:54 PM
Has anyone looked into the possibility of getting RB on one of these units yet? They have released code for the OS, and the bootloader has been hacked AFAIK. I'm not much of a programmer, but would be able to test.

Archos does strange things with their naming these days.

The previous "Archos 5" (called Gen 6) is Linux.

The current "Archos 5IT" (called Gen 7) is Android.

If I donated a linux based Archos 5 IMT, with no lcd (they have jtag pinned out) would anyone be willing to try porting RB to it?

There's a maemo port for it, and a Rockbox port for maemo.

I seem to recall it being possible to run Android on these now also.
