Title: Rockbox on Zen MicroPhoto
Post by: bl34ch on September 24, 2006, 04:16:31 PM
Hi, I own a Zen Microphoto and have seen some amazing things done with with rockbox on iPods, but am not interested at all in buying an iPod. I was just wondering if it would be possible to make a Rockbox version for the Zen MicroPhoto?
BTW I no nothing about programming.

According to the success of the Zen Micro port project , I personally doubt a Zen Micro Photo port will interest much people...besides, I don't like Zens *ahum*^^

Someone with the hardware needs to figure out both of those questions.

I used to own a Zen Micro, but I guess the hardware should pretty much be the same.

As far as I know, there was one project of custom firmware on the Micro, but it didn't succeed. Dunno if it was for technical problems or lack of people/motivation.

But it should be possible, as you update the Micro manually on your computer. Somebody just needs to hack the Creative Updater.

It is possible. No one wants to do it.
