Title: Sansa Fuze+ unable to return to main files menu
Post by: bfdfix on May 04, 2019, 10:03:42 AM
Hi I used to have a Sansa fuze+ with Rockbox and remember if I clicked into a sub folder from the main files folder, I'm unable to go back again to the main folders, so I have to turn off the player and back on again if I want to look at other folders.

I've just bought a new fuze+ (an old refurb by Sandisk) and the same thing happens on this one. Surely this isn't how Rockbox is meant to work? I thought maybe it was due to the music being on a micro sd card, but it does the same on the onboard storage.

Everytime I want to listen to music in a different folder, I really don't want to have to turn off the player and back on again...

Am I missing something? Thanks!

have you tried the left button on the keypad?
key 1 is the back arrow, 3 is play pause
key 4 is the left arrow
both key 1 and key 4 should return yo from a sub folder IIRC

if not then try adjusting the sensitivity of the keypad or the dead zone size

Settings>General>System>Touchpad Sensitivity/Touchpad Dead Zone

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Hey thanks for reply, and wow I never tried key 4!

Key 1 only take you from the playing a song screen back to the main screen, then when I click files it goes back to a sub folder, not the main folders within 'music'.

If I click Key 4 when playing a song it starts it from the beginning, but if I click the centre button playing a song it takes me to the sub folder, if I then click key 4 it takes me back to the folder before the sub folder etc

So basically I'm sorted!! I expected key 1 would get me back to everything but clearly not, I'm sure years ago I must have changed rockbox version and this happened, I don't believe it was always like this, but it's been years since I've used rockbox :)

Thanks very much, a big help
