Hi all
I was wondering if anyone has tested the rockbox firmware with the AUDI MMI. Does it recognize the files, playlists etc etc. I was running the rockbox firmware a long time until I bought my new Audi S8. Out of fears of not recognising the files, I reverted to Apple original firmware.
I own 30GB Apple Video.
Can someone please help me...

I don't really know anything about the hardware you are talking about. Testing results for iPod accessories can be found at the IpodAccessories (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=IpodAccessories) wiki page.
Why not test and then post your results to that page?

I have tested the Ipod with Rockbox firmware, but sorry to report that the AUDI music interface does not recognise the firmware. It's built to recognise only the Apple firmware.
Too bad! I hope rockbox may work around this. It's such a great firmware!

Did you turn on accessory power in Rockbox before the test? Since maybe a week there is a setting for it which is off by default (to save battery) - see this post (http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=16548.msg123726#msg123726) for details.

amirage, you are talking of the Audi Car Entertainment Unit, correct? I am pretty sure it does not work with rockbox even with the accessory power enabled. Afaik it uses the Apple control interface which is not implemented in rockbox (by now).
