Title: sansapatcher.exe
Post by: Moogle on December 10, 2022, 04:27:16 PM
I've refurbed a Sansa Fuze V1. I note that a sansapatcher executable unzips with the Utility v1.5.1.

Do I need to run the patcher separately, or is it called from within the Utility?

Is this covered in the documentation somewhere? I can't find it.

Thanks

Why don't you simply use Rockbox Utility and see if something is missing if you ignore the fact that there's a sansapatcher.exe around? Unless you're experiencing a problem I don't see a question that needs to get asked here.

(You don't need to call it separately. It isn't called by Rockbox Utility. It's simply shipped now. That's for a future change. But since it's shipped now you could use it for manually installing the bootloader, if you chose to do so.)

It might be helpful, and avoid questions like this, if everything was contained in a directory with extra tools in a subdirectory. Like this:

Code: [Select]
+ RockboxUtility-1.5.1/
  + RockboxUtility.exe
  + README.txt
  + tools/
    + sansapatcher.exe
    + ipodpatcher.exe
