Title: Adding new music to version 3.15 for iPod Classic
Post by: tucsonjim on December 11, 2020, 03:59:29 PM
I just decided to install rockbox to my iPod after erroneously updating iTunes and finding that it no longer supports iPod classics to the point of no longer even recognizing the iPod. I was wondering if anybody knew how to go about not only adding my more recent purchases from iTunes onto my iPod? I manually add all my music downloaded outside of iTunes as well to iTunes so pretty much my whole music library is there but it has been a while since I have synchronized it and I have quite a bit of music on my PC that I do not have on my iPod.

This is an old thread but for anyone else seeing this; I’m not sure why OP was having problems with iTunes, but iTunes definitely did not drop support for the iPod classic. In fact even Big Sur on an M1 Mac can sync with an original 1st generation iPod. I sync my iPod Mini in the latest version of iTunes all the time.
