I've uploaded release candidate builds for 3.11 to http://www.hostname.be/3.11RC/. Please test them and report back, even if just to say there were no problems (we like those reports!). Don't forget to mention which exact player you're testing on.
If you encounter bugs, please file bug reports (unless the problem is already reported), or at least report the bug here. We'd like 3.11 to be as good as possible.
Note that Rockbox Utility doesn't know about these release candidate builds, so you'll have to install them manually. The final release will of course be supported by Rockbox Utility.
There is one major known issue: USB is broken on the ipod nano2g. We won't release until this has been fixed or worked around.

I have reviewed the 3.11 pre-release on my Sansa Fuze v2 and frankly I'm not impressed. Although this firmware is generally stable and produces sound that is the cleanest, clearest and loudest I have yet heard, pre-release 3.11 contains most of the bugs I have encountered in release 3.10 and the subsequent series of "current build(s)". Once 3.11 is officially released, I will be bombarding the Rockbox team with these approximately half-dozen bugs via the standard procedure.

3.11 isn't a magic new version that appears out of nowhere. It follows directly from the development tree, and won't be very different from current builds at the time of branching.

And this is the major reason why these bugs are still in there. Seriously, if they're not reported, how can you expect them to ever be fixed?

The entire and only point of release candidates is to tell us about bugs now.
If they have been present since 3.10 (or before) and you haven't told us, how on earth do you expect us to fix them?

I've read your post and franky I'm not impressed. By your attitude. Seriously, if you don't like Rockbox don't use it and move on. There's no reason to piss off people that develop an alternate firmware in their spare time and give it away for free, and even spend a lot of time writing documentation and making installation user friendly. If you want to help fixing bugs you need to report them when they appear, not months later.

Will the usb line out be fixed with the new 3.11 release on the fuzev2?

No we still have no idea how to detect it.
-
Will an option to turn it on manually be included in it to enable the line out on the fuze v2., If it can't be detected automatically?

No, that will never be included.
