Title: Clix2 usb connection problem

I have a Clix2 that has been sitting in the drawer for quite a while. When I got it out recently, it couldn't start up properly. After the blue iRiver screen, it displayed a message : "Player update required. Please refer to the manual." However, when I plug it into the usb port, the computer couldn't detect anything, so I couldn't go any further.

What could be wrong with my Clix2? Do I need to reinstall a usb driver? (I am using Windows XP SP2. I also have a machine running Windows 7 Ultimate.) If so, where do I get it from?

Can I fix my problem using tcctool or rockbox? If so, how?

Any suggestion is very much appreciated!

The Clix2 does not run rockbox, so you're probably better off finding a forum with people who use the Clix2.
