Hi everybody,
Firstly, I poked around a bit here to see if this was mentioned before, and I apologize if it has.
A while ago (3-4 months), I was upgrading the rockbox firmware and something went wrong - I can't remember the series of events specifically, but I ended up saving my h340 but going into usb bootloader mode then installing rockbox again.
Rockbox works perfectly - however, the original firmware won't boot up (it would simply stall at the "loading" splash screen until the batteries ran out), and I'm unsure how to handle things from here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

there was something about an eeprom getting corrupted, there is a special menu - possibly in debug menu - you'll need a good eeprom image.
All very vague but may give you a pointer.

i have a problem with the original firmware too.
have a look at this thread.

it may be relevant to what you are experiencing

Harani, I looked into that thread. That seems to be the solution, but the attachment is gone... is there any way I could get another epprom image?
Thanks for you help.

I've got it working again - all I did was double press the record button when it was starting up. Seems very simplistic, but it seemed to work for me. If that doesn't work for anybody, new instructions on how to fix it are here

not sure what you mean by double pressing record, but i reflashed the eeprom from that link you posted and it hasn't sorted the problem

i'm gonna try copying everything off and reformatting it
