Title: rbutil: Unable to install voice file for Iaudio X5 Rockbox Version 3.2 (again!)
Post by: dmoriarty on June 11, 2009, 05:38:38 PM
Trying to download the voice file for Rockbox 3.2 for Iaudio X5 I get a HTTP error 404 (file not found) error when using rbutil 1.2.1.  This came up in November 2008.  It is still happening!  There is a post about this in November 2008.  I need the new voice file as the menus have changed.

Possibly the position of the file on the website has changed but rbutil hasn't been updated?

You help very much appreciated.

It seems it's a bug in the utility.  You can manually download the voice files in the meantime.  If there isn't a bug report for this already, please consider filing one.

You can find daily builds here: http://www.rockbox.org/daily.shtml
The release is located here: http://www.rockbox.org/download/byhand.cgi

As far as I can see this issue has already been fixed in svn, so there isn't too much point in filing a bug report. You can try an svn build of Rockbox Utility from here (http://www.alice-dsl.net/dominik.riebeling/rockbox/rbutilqt-svn.zip) (build yesterday). I'm quite surprised those issues haven't been mentioned before as it must have been present at least in 1.2 and 1.2.1 as far as I can see.

Thank you very much for the quick replies.  I have downloaded the voice file manually.  The install was successful.  The error is in rbutl version 1.2.1 since that is the one I am using.
