Hi There (yes, I'm new here),
I just added Rockbox to my Sansa Clip+
I would like to know ....... If I was to put all of my music on a 32 GB SD card, would I need to add Rockbox to the SD Card also? Or would the build that's on the player, itself be sufficient.
Though the question has probably been asked a million times before, I'm not really sure how this works (but I'd like to know, because 8 GB is not very much drive space for music ----- especially in lossless format.)
Thanks!

For most devices, Rockbox goes on the internal storage and not the external. There are a few exceptions, but if you've got it on your internal storage already, they don't apply to you.

No, you don't need to add Rockbox to the SD card where you have all your music.
With the Clip+, you *can* if you want to but you don't *need* to do it, it will work either way.

Thank you so much for both of these responses!

I can confirm the previous answers, as I have recently got a Sansa Fuze+.
Some MicroSD cards won't work on the basic Fuze+, it's quite temperamental. But via Rockbox it will be fine.
I recently obtained a 64Gb microSD card, and it wouldn't work, though I reformatted it to FAT32. On checking its format I found that there was an unused bit at the start of the drive. I deleted the formatted partition, and created a partition without an unused bit at the start, and formatted it to FAT32. Now it works for Rockbox. Perfect!
