Have you read the manual?
This page: http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansae200/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-60002
says that you have to set your Sansa to "USB Mass Storage/MSC Mode" in the original firmware first.
-
yes
-
i dont really know how to do taht thou
-
Refer to the manual for your Sansa for instructions on how to set USB Mass Storage mode.
-
ok ty
-
hey would you know where i have to extract it to
-
I already gave you the link to the manual. Please read it. The .rockbox folder needs to go into the root folder of the Sansa.
If you are using Windows, look at the drive letter the Sansa gets assigned to. If it's, for example, G:, then just extract it into G:. You should end up with something like this:
G:\.rockbox
-
now the sansa patcher wont work
-
By any chance, is your Sansa a Rhapsody model? You know, with an R at the end of the model name?
-
YA it is
-
That will be why it's not working then - as clearly stated on the front page of Rockbox.org - we don't support the R series.
-
Your best bet now is to either:
A) Purchase a supported DAP; like GodEater said, there's a list of supported players on the front page.
B) Return your Sansa to wherever you purchased it from, and ask them to give you a non-Rhapsody model. Make sure to emphasize that to them... NON-RHAPSODY! (If it's Best Buy, ask for your money back and go to a store that sells non-Rhapsody models.)
