Title: Problem with MSC mode after installing rockbox on e280
Post by: vogonjeltz on September 28, 2007, 06:40:27 PM
Hardware: Sansa e280
Firmware: 1.02.18E

After installing rockbox, I couldn't boot into the original firmware (this seems to be a known bug).
I reinstalled the original firmware by doing this:
  - booted into recovery mode
  - copied 1.02.18E.mi4
  - rebooted

After that i could boot into the original firmware, but now MSC mode does not work anymore (tried under Windows
and Linux);
lsusb can't see the player at all.
Windows displays the following error:
Exception Processing Message c00000013 Parameters 75b0bf9c 4 75b0bf9c 75b0bf9c

MTP mode works and i can transfer files with windows media player and winamp.

Any ideas?

Edit Additional Information:
It turns out the player is detected and mounts under linux if i plug it in while it is turned off
Output from lsusb looks ok
Bus 007 Device 008: ID 0781:7421 SanDisk Corp.

I will research the workaround for the bug which prevents booting into original firmware over
the weekend and try to reinstall rockbox then.
