Title: SOUND SPECTRUM ANALYZER
Post by: aceofbase on December 04, 2007, 01:50:48 PM
(I'm sorry. I know this should go up in the FEATURED REQUESTS section but i couldn't get to post there)

Could it be possible to have a SPECTRUM ANALYZER plugin made? We already have a SOUNDMAP plugin which works amazingly great even on my iPOD nano. Can't it be possible to have (say to start) a 5 band ANALYZER?

Maybe the resources at the processing end might hinder it at  first, but then we can keep the size of display real small (1/5 th of screen size). If its successful, it might be implemented in the regular WPS much like the STATUS BAR.

This might just lead to opening new grounds in plugin programing as this might just be the very step to an ADVANCED VISUALIZATION STUDIO with Spectrum Rings etc (All customizable and usable as a part of WPS).

If you can't post in the feature request section, the next step is to ask for help, NOT to say "Okay, this means I'm allowed to ignore the guidelines."

"Any problems you have with viewers or plugins, or ideas you have for new ones can be discussed here."(hence the post) Remember though that this is NOT the place for official feature requests(hence my apology). If you have a wonderful idea, but only ever post it here, it may never get seen. Click the "Feature Requests" link on the left side of the screen instead.

don't you think we should discuss it once?

I don't know. Are you working on it and asking for feedback, or are you suggesting someone else should do it?
