i put on rckbx sometime ago on my sansa clip zip, a few months ago i lent it to a friend to copy some files, i think he copied pictures, i got my mp3 back and now the internal memory seems frozen, if i delete or even format, when i turn it back on everything comes back. other problems all seem to be a variation of that e.g. cant change settings, cant add files onto internal memory,doesn't save song from where i left off etc.
can anyone pls help, will be much appreciated.

Those are symptoms of the internal flash dying respectively becoming read-only.
There are many reports on this in the forum. Once you are in that state, it's usually too late.

Yea,Your clip zip's flash seems to have gone out. That is mostly why I would recommend to buy an SD card and just put music and other stuff on there instead and leave the internal memory only for rockbox updates and stuff.
