Can't play
Zaxdad:
Hi.
I'm new to Rockbox,so bear with me. I can't seem to get any audio to play. My files all have a WMA.SAT. extension. I tried removing the SAT as the file would not load. It now loads but does not play. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Zaxdad
Llorean:
.sat files are encrypted. You cannot play them. Also, Rockbox does not support WMA.
With the Gigabeat, you have to recopy your music, using some method other than the Gigabeat software (such as simply dragging the files to the disk), and your music must be in one of the formats Rockbox supports (nearly any common format except WMA or APE).
Zaxdad:
Thanks for your rely. Is there some software that can rip in the desired format and maintain an album file structure. I'm afraid I've only used Windows media player in the past. Again, sorry for all the newbie questions.

GodEater:
Buried somewhere in its options, Media Player allows you to change the format it encodes to from WMA to MP3. I forget where though.
Nate!:
Is all of your music on your Gigabeat .sat encrypted and are you going to re-rip your entire library to a Rockbox useable format? If you don't want to re-rip, there are .sat encryption removal steps on the Rockbox Gigabeat Port Page.
