Please read the rest of the page, as it describes how to use it...

i have read it, and i'm stuck right out of the gate.

it says (in the dummy version): "Press Start, click Run..." i do this (and i'm assuming "start means "double-click") and like i said, the utility flashes for a second and disappears.

"Start" means the start button in the bottom left corner of windows, on the start bar.

ok, so no matter what file path i type it says it can't find the path specified, no matter if i just type "cd Documents and Settings" or the entire path, it's the same.

Try typing cd docu and then hitting the tab key.

First, you never did the "cd \", you left off the backslash.

Then try:
cd "Documents and Settings" with the quotes around it. But the tab suggestion should also work *if* you've done the "cd \" first.

As I understand it, Geoff's font converter should work with drag and drop. Just put the font.ttf in the same folder as makefont.bat and drag the font.ttf onto makefont.bat.
A command prompt window should show up asking for what size the font is to be, after you've put in the desired size and hit enter it should do it's work.

hope that helps ;)

You need to save it to a place where you can find it

for example if you saved it on your desktop type this

CD C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Desktop

Or in your documents

CD C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\My Documents
