Game in sansa (help)
(1/1)
micah.caca:
Just curios, but what kind of code do the sansa games use? are they just exe files or what? can you convert exe files to the rockbox games files? Because i am a flash game maker, and i can tunr my games into exe files, so if this is possible, i would be willing to make a game or to for rockbox for free, but i own a sansa, and they would probably for that size of screen. Anyways, could somebody just help me with this?

They are plugins written in C and they are crafted for Rockbox. But sure, porting existing programs is indeed possible and has been done multiple times as you should be aware.

No they're not.
micah.caca:
so does this mean i could somehow convert my files to be used on rockbox without having to leanr a new type of code? and if so, what keys would i be programing for (by this is mean if i made it so you press the up arrow key on a keyboard, then it would work as the up arrow key on my sansa). Actualy, even better, if it is possible, would somebody be willing to convert a exe file so it can be used on rockbox?
safetydan:
If by converting your files you mean rewriting them in C using the Rockbox plugin API then sure. There is no way to get things written in Flash on to Rockbox at the moment. You'll basically need to redo it from scratch specifically for Rockbox.

hhm, i dont think im oging to learn a new code, that'd take a while, thanks for all your help though?
