i installed rockbox a few days ago and it worked fine on my 30 GB 5G ipod.... but then my iPod died, and it hasnt turned on since... :-\  i left it in a wall charger for about a day, and nothing happened.... i tried menu+select, Menu+play... i tried a USB connection... i dont know what to do... :(

Have you tried turning Hold on, and then off, and then holding Menu+Select for 30 seconds, while the iPod is plugged in?

yep... just tried it..

If you have a software problem, that will work. If you try it several times, including the hold switch thing (very important), and it doesn't work, that suggests something hardware related has gone wrong.

what hardware issue could have possibly gone wrong? i mean, i just played some music off of it until it ran out of battery life, then i tried turning it on again the next morning lol... (not to sound caustic, just confused lol)
