if your theme is installed properly it will get remembered. This means that all theme files need to be below the .rockbox folder.

Backgrounds should be in the /.rockbox/backdrops folder; .wps files should be in /.rockbox/wps folder.

You don't say what player you are using, but I suspect that you are not shutting it down correctly, because if you were, the in-use WPS would be automatically saved in the config file.

On most players you have to do a long press on either the STOP button (irivers, ?gigabeat?) or the PLAY button (ipods). You should see a 'Shutting down...' splash screen if you are doing it properly.

You really expect good help if you don't supply information that might be necessary like your player, your build, how you installed the theme etc?

I did not get angry. What did you read? It can't be what I wrote :o

There are differences. Some things are the same on all players, but there might be other things that produce unexpected behaviour. Btw, I already told you that you need to have the theme files below the .rockbox folder to get remembered. You didn't tell any more details about that so I can only guess. The manual explains how shutting down the player works, and if you installed a theme correctly it gets remembered. You haven't asked specifically, like how to install a theme correctly.

I answered in the same way you asked: not providing any more information than absolutely necessary, possibly leaving out important information. What do you expect by asking that way?
