WPS not recognizing empty album field?

I recently upgraded to the latest Rockbox nightly and now I find that the wps system doesn't recognize empty tags properly.  When I have a conditional like %?id<id|d1> to display the file's directory if the album tag is nonexistent, I get a blank readout instead of the file's directory.

I checked the wiki but the tags/conditionals all seem to be the same so I don't know what is causing this (maybe there's a blank tag and that's what's throwing it off?).  I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if they have a solution.  I don't think it's my WPS either because I tried a test WPS with nothing but the album name conditional and it still had the problem.

I'm running the latest nightly on an iAudio X5L.  My WPS of choice is "black", but as I said I don't think that is the cause.

as far as i know you should use %?tag<%tag|else_this_text>

So in your case you would use %?id<%id|%fd>

As an aside, I always code in the filename if the track title is missing e.g %?it<%it|%fm>

Give it a go see what happens.
