Dir Buffer is full? Freezing during playback?

I have two issues.  First of all when I go into my music folder from the file view, it says "Dir Buffer is Full!" and then doesn't show all of my folders...there's just a chunk that's "a" through "c" that is completely cut out.  How do I fix this?


Secondly, I can't play anything for more than ten seconds without my ipod freezing...what the...any answers or suggestions for this?

Do you use the latest build with the latest bootloader? And HOW many directories are on your ipod?

You can change the dir buffer setting under the Disk option in the settings menus, I'm not sure which menu exactly but you can find it in the manual.

This question was posted in the "Installation" section, which has rules explicitly stating that once you've booted Rockbox on you iPod all further questions are not installation questions. Please honor this rule in the future.
