Dang, this Rockbox thing is powerful! ;)

I continually am amazed at how powerful and versatile Rockbox is.  And thanks to those who have developed it to be that way!

Today, I was listening to a bunch of albums that I had stored in a "New Music" folder on my player, labeled that way so that I don't forget about them.  When I then listen to them, I drag the albums, each in its own folder, via Windows to the main storage area for music on my player.

I was a bit too lazy to connect the player to my computer today, and so instead simply copied the the particular album folders to my main storage area and then deleted the original locations, all with just a few button presses on my player.  Just amazing that the player has this function, making things so easy and able-on-the fly.  (I know that many out there already use these functions routinely, but this was the first time I did so in lieu of a "main computer"--main computer not needed!)

Kudos!

Agreed, rockbox has so many features besides just playing music. The text editor has fixed a few WPS's of mine while I've been away from my computer. Not to mention the filebrowsing power, I like not needing a computer to rename a folder/move/delete/copy it. The playlist system has really impressed me, especially the catalog, I usually throw my songs on random and then when something good comes on I stick it in one of my playlists in the catalog. When I use rockbox I feel like I have real control of my portable music experience. I've been impressed since day one, and continue to be impressed by rockbox, and I know I always will be because rockbox is constantly improved (possibly the best thing about rockbox)
