IS this a problem, or...?

(1/1)

im new to all of this... i think its pretty cool that you can hack your mp3 player to make it do what you want...

i unzipped the .rockbox folder correctly and i installed the boot loader patch correctly... but when my iPod reboots, it just stays on the apple logo screen... ive let it sit for like, 5 to 10 minutes, but nothing happens... ive tried resetting it (menu+select), but nothing happens...

so is this a (fixable) problem?

What do i do?

OS:Windows
iPod: video/5G

Llorean:
Menu+Select should restart your iPod. If it doesn't restart it (which will bring you right back to the hang at the apple logo if you do nothing else) then you're not quite doing the menu+select thing right.

Once you get it to restart, turn on hold as soon as the screen clears, and leave it on. The iPod should start in the Apple software.

What capacity iPod do you have?

pianofreq:
actually, i just read around on the forum and it said it wont work with 80GB models.... thats my problem :-[
