iPod Nano: Blank Screen
(1/1)
SorcererSteven:
My Nano shows absolutely nothing on the screen. I have read some of the other posts in this forum, and tried several things, including holding menu and select for 30 seconds after switching the hold switch on and off (I've done this probably 10 or 15 times), I've left it plugged into a USB port over night, I've tried several different USB ports, and it still has done absolutely nothing. Just a blank screen.
This started happening after I had plugged it into my computer while the Nano was off and the hold switch was on (hoping that it would boot into the original firmware's USB transfer mode, which seems to transfer files much faster). Like normal, the apple appeared on the screen, but then it got stuck. It stayed with the apple on the screen for about 2 or 3 minutes, at which point I unplugged the iPod from my computer. It stayed at the apple, so I held menu and select to reset it. After several seconds, the screen started slowly fading (like it does when the battery dies). I tried resetting it again, just normally turning it on, and then all of the things mentioned above, and nothing seems to work.
Does this appear to be a hardware problem that just happened to happen at that time?
I'm going to see if I can find another iPod USB cable, to see if that's the problem (even though it doesn't seem likely). Any other suggestions?
SorcererSteven:
Okay, so, it's a couple days later now, and I tried starting and resetting it again, and no luck. I then decided to try plugging it in again, and it worked. The apple appeared, then it quickly switched to a screen saying something along the lines of the battery being very low, and to wait. I don't recall seeing this screen before when I had a low battery... Maybe Apple updated it recently?
Anyways, it works again. I don't know what the problem was. I'm just glad it's working :D.

Hey I don't know exactly how to fix this problem, but I had very good experience with a tech support site I have found, they even have free live chat support. I would try using the help of their experts.
Here is the page for Ipod Support
Hope it helps
