Ipod 60gb hangs after updating to a wrong rockbox.zip file

Hi,

I'm a newbie to the iPod world.  Someone installed Rockbox on a 60gb photo iPod for me, and it's been running OK for the last few days.  However, I noticed some features in the Rockbox manual not quite visible nor accessible, so today I attempted to update to the latest Rockbox.

Unfortunately, I used a wrong version, the iPod Video instead of iPod photo.  Now, after unzipping rockbox.zip file onto the root directory of the iPod, removing it from the PC, and resetting it (Menu + Select), I see only a big Apple appearing on the display, hanging there like a ghost, no matter what I tried to do.

Please show me how to reset into disk mode so that I can update to the right rockbox version (iPod photo, I think).

Thanks a bunch.  I've just managed to get out of this crisis by switching on/off the HOLD switch, and saw the message of disk mode.

Whew!
