Im trying to customize the .icons file and when ever I try to refer to the mainset, only the default icon shows.
Im following this from the WIKI
Quote
*<0-32>: will use this number as an index into the main iconset bmp for the icon (0 is the first icon, 1 is the 2nd, etc), e.g "m3" will load the 4th icon from the main set

I have all the files in the icon folder(mainset.bmp, viewers.bmp and viewers.icons)
Have I missed something?

Try using * instead of m, I think the wiki may not be right.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

is it just me or the viewer icons in the tango icon set stopped working properly? it shows the "bulb" icon used for System menu item from the main set for all the viewer extensions for me. the other sets have no problems.

So I loaded the icons in an icon folder, realised i needed a newer build. Dis that and the Icons now work! but the wps and all the codecs seem to have failed. whatever song tries to play i get codec failed error. Help.

Sounds like you only loaded the rockbox.* file rather than the entire build.

Sounds likely, when i get the daily build i only get a .rockbox folder and i drag that in and it replaces all the old files with new ones.
What else do i need to do?

Nothing else, but it sounds like that's not what happened this time.  The symptom you described fits what happens when you update the rockbox. file but not the codecs.

And this should probably be moved to the right forum.

In the .icons file, change the "m"s to "*"  so it looks like
mpg:*26

Because the gallery is a little disorganised, I've put together a zip of all the iconsets along with .cfg's to load them from the themes folder. I've put it up on the gallery as I think it should be useful ;)
