Problems booting H10 20GB after installation
« on: April 10, 2007, 01:25:56 PM »
As far as I can tell I followed the instructions in the manual, and yet when I turn the player it tells me it can't load the rockbox.mi4 and rockbox.h10 files. What's going on?

You didn't follow the ones in the section "Installing the Firmware" properly, you've just installed the bootloader.

No I did not. I assumed you copied both to the System folder. Oops.

I get the same error. I followed the directions step by step. The problem I have is that when I extract the firmware into the H10 it creates a rockbox folder not a .rockbox folder, and it wont let me rename it.

I figured it out. The key is to not use IZArc to extract your files. I used the built-in Windows XP decompresser.
