Gigabeat: LCD doesn't shut off fully

Mad Cow:
The LCD off setting also messes with rockbox drawing to the LCD. If you're using a plugin for example, it'll completely stop it, including sound when the LCD goes off. And it takes a second or two to get it to update after it's back on.

Phalangees:
The LCD is not supposed to shut off on the gigabeat. It used to but not anymore. It's set to stay on. If it does go on, there is a weird lag as soon as a key is pressed and it's given power again. There is no noticable difference in power usage/battery life with LCD on or off so it makes no real difference if it does go off or if it's always on. you could double check this with toffe but I'm pretty sure everything I said still holds true.
