5.5G 30GB iPod battery life

Hello everyone, I know I am a total noob to the forums . . . but i have a question: What is the battery life for my 5.5G 30GB iPod, because if it isn't good, its not exactly worth having, even with all the super sick games. Good job on making such a fantastic program though. Thanks alot!

It really depends on how you use your ipod. The biggest impact on battery life comes from 2 things, how many times the HDD has to spin to fill the buffer, and how many times the backlight is turned on.
If you just set your ipod to play a really long playlist on repeat, and let it sit, you'll get around 8-10hrs.
If you actually use your ipod, say you change the song every third song, hop around your collection, change
the wps's, play some games, etc... I'd say you get 6-8hrs.

I find that my ipod lasts me a full schoolday on one full charge, I just have a car charger so it starts the day on a full charge.

I get about 5 but I'm able to charge during the day so my battery probably never drops below 50%.

Of course, how long you've had your iPod and what condition the battery is in will affect that number, too.
