Mpeg player Problems can only view 10 min

Hi, i have a gigabeat x and my Mpeg player is working perfectly in terms of its A/V sync. But the only problem i'm facing with it, is that after about 10 minutes of viewing an Mpeg file on the mpeg player it jumps back to a previously rebuffered part in the movie.  

My setting are 'Limit FPS'- On and 'Skip Frames'-On

I have tested this with all my movies and doesn't matter if one of them go for 15min or 2 hours i still get the same result of after 10 minutes it jumps back to a previously rebuffered part of the movie

I'm welcomed to any theory's on how to fix it or what is causing the problem.

What SVN revision of Rockbox do you have?

This may sound a little stupid but i am new too rockbox and i'm not sure what SVN revision is? but i can tell you that i have the newest build and the 12 of march bootloader which i think is supposed to be the newest bootloader.

By "newest", what exactly do you mean? People say newest to me all the time, and it turns out they don't, so I need you to be exactly clear on which file you downloaded, and when you downloaded it.

Okay well about 2 hours ago i went to:

And i grabbed everything from that site eg. Bootloader, Themes, Build and the bootsplash.

So my build is 2007-04-05 and my bootloader is the 12 of march.

And just so i know have you ever heard of a problem like mine?? Because i went through the posts and couldn't find one with the same problem as me

What did you use to convert your videos?
Does the official Elephant's Dream video show this problem?

To convert my movies i use WinFF with the source code. Let me just add that program is amazing

I haven't yet tried Elephants Dream, i shall put it on my Gigabeat now and get back to this forum as soon as possible.

Hello agian,

I tried elephants dream and the same thing happened after a while (5min) it stops and starts at a previously rebuffered part in the movie and then when i got out of the movie and went back in, this error came up 'cant open/.rockbox/viewers/mpegplayer.rock'.

Also for example whenever i click into 'files' or 'plugins' it may not 100% of the times go into the folder i want to and just come up with my background then i have to turn it off and turn it back on to be able to access the folder i wanted to

It sounds like you may have disk errors. You should try using a tool such as scandisk to check your disk for errors.

Im going to reformat my gigabeat but when i do will i have to put extra rockbox files on my gigabeat?

I no that i will have to put a GBSYSTEM, .rockbox, my playlist folder, bootsplash.

And when i format do i select FAT32 or NTFS?

You should format as FAT32.
You don't need extra rockbox files, only the files in the latest current or daily build. (See the rockbox install instructions for your DAB).
But I don't know what files you need to restore the OF.
