icantfixit:
i canot get ipodpatcher to run, i have opened the .dmg file and i do have the icon but the patcher will not oppen is displays an errors messege along he lines of
there is no default application set to open the docment ipodpatcher.
i have tried to open with every application i have, am i missing a step, whay does it see it as a document?
bluebrother:
you need to run ipodpatcher, not open it up with any other application. ipodpatcher is a binary "application" itself. I don't know how OS X handled this, but you should at least be able opening up a terminal and running ipodpatcher from that.
icantfixit:
ok i am sorry to bother you over this but i am new to mac ad i dont know how to use terminal could someone please explain what i need to do to run this
icantfixit:
never mind i got it figured out, anyone else refering to this post for thir own reference may ike to know that you just need to drag the patcher into the terminal window
linuxstb:
I'm glad you got it working, but dragging ipodpatcher to the terminal window shouldn't have been necessary.
I've just downloaded the latest ipodpatcher.dmg file, double-clicked on it, and then double-clicked on the ipodpatcher icon inside it, and it worked.
If anyone has any clues about icantfixit's problem, please let us know.
