General Code
« on: April 04, 2007, 11:29:43 PM »
It would be so cool if someone could write some wps code for the ipod nano that has blank spaces for the pictures. That way non-coders and people who are to lazy and/or stupid to write the code could easily create their own themes by just creating the icons and backdrops and such.

Or just take an existing wps and replace the images?

you're right, I learned how to make WPS's in around an hour or two, some of the more tricky things like conditionals, and alternating sublines (and then sublines with margins) take a bit more time to get used to coding. But really I'd compare the WPS code as similar to HTML in terms of how easy it is to learn.
Some WPS are intended to work with just changing the backdrop, see 'kelp' by Dan Manners and "twilight" by Twilight In Zero both for the ipod video.

Markshelfer, if you still feel like just making a request, I'd take a shot at it:
what exactly are you looking for layout-wise?

yeah i remember my first wps i made. As they added more stuff for wps'es i also added stuff. It was pretty easy then. I haven't coded a wps in awhile as I have a favorite that somebody else made but I modified it a bit.
