ive searched through the forums and all the answers ive seen for the music not playing questions is update bootleader.
how do i do that?
and if its possible could someone email me a good site to get roms and wads for rockbox games?

To update the bootloader simply use ipodpatcher, like you did when installing the bootloader.

Follow the installation instructions in the manual to install the bootloader - upgrading the bootloader is identical to installing it for the first time.

This involves downloading a program called ipodpatcher which you run on your computer.
