old topic, [new?] question

I just upgraded my Rockbox build after about 2 months using an old one, and noticed a great performance/accessibility improvement; Seems like CPU usage has been optimized much, since I can actually load my database to RAM without causing audio clippage :D

However, audio's fine, but overall performance has decreased. O_o?
While audio's playing, scrolling through menus is fine for about 2 or 3 seconds, but then it suddenly starts lagging and hops about 10-15 menu entries at a time (with the scrollbar held down).

H10 20gig, current build about an hour ago, 10:00 PM April 1st EST.

Is there some option to overclock CPU on the iRivers, or maybe I have inadvertently activated some CPU-hogging process? I'm using a custom WPS with the basics only, no peak meters, just tag info and a progress bar.

(Ooh btw, the new bass going up to 24 is AWESOME, since it used to only go up to 9. :D)

EDIT: No EQs enabled to my knowledge.
