ipodpatcher bug?
(1/1)
TheHarbinger:
I've run Rockbox on my mini 2-g for a while, but recently decided to go dual-boot. (Since .wav support really isn't there yet, and if I have to convert to MP3, I'd like to use my Griffin remote again which is also not supported.) I'd read that the Rockbox database could search for, and play, songs loaded with iTunes for the original Apple firmware.
I wiped the iPod first (long story, I'd goofed it up but it's okay now), converted about four CDs worth of material, and loaded it with iTunes. I then used the latest daily build at the time (3/31) and then used ipodpatcher per the manual. The songs I'd loaded under iTunes "disappeared." The iPod also forgot what language it started up in and wanted me to choose. After futzing around a bit, I uninstalled iPodpatcher and...the songs "reappeared." They were again accessible under the normal Apple firmware.
Is this a bug...?

Try the following: restore your ipod via iTunes, then install rockbox, then upload the songs via iTunes. Check if they're in the ipod_config folder/f00 folder of your ipod (it's a hidden folder).
