polluxx2006:
hi folks,

can anyone recommend a suitable and
quite cheap replacement battery for my H140?
it should have at leat twice the capacity of
the original batt.

thanks
polluxx

p.s.: i live in germany , so a german seller would maybe be the best

You have to reverse the leads on the plug. Otherwise these are good to go.

Multiplex:
Look for iPod 1st Gen or 2nd Gen batteries, you should get lots of hits in Germany - I found many in theUK when I was looking

As Davide-NYC points out you have to swap the pins in the connector - there is a good guide over ay Mistic River

I think the biggest batery I saw when I was looking was 2200 mAh - the original was 1200/1300 so nearly double

GodEater:
The 2200mah iPod battery is what I fitted into my H-140.

The toughest bit is NOT reversing the connector - that's easy - I even did it when drunk (Not that I advise you to do this procedure whilst drunk!). The hard part is reconnecting this to the mainboard. The battery connector is VERY close to the USB port and there's not much clearance AT ALL.

Multiplex:
You're right about getting the new connector in - the lip arround the plug must be slightly bigger or something - the old one was an OK fit (not easy, but OK)

I trimmed the lip from the back of the plug - this is difficult to explain but I hope obvious when you have the thing in front of you.
